The tin in few words
The tin is a white metal whose glare looks like the one of the silver. It is to be found in a natural state in the form of cassiterite. The principal producer countries are in Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand) and in South America (Brazil, Peru...).

A few of history
Stannum, estain, tin... Through the passed centuries the tin came to us. It was used for medical, religious or artistic uses. The Romans used it to cover some objects. At the Middle Age, tin was used for middle-class families and the famous muds of the church's plates and dishes. It is mainly used today by the welders (because it melts at 230°C) and for the manufacture of plastic bottles of which it is a minority component.
