Lauze made objects... a piece of Lozère at home ... Lauze or lause is a 1 to 2 inches thick slab of schist. It is traditionnaly used in Lozere to make tiles for roof. The gliterring of this stone gives a special effect to the roof of the local stone houses. It can also be used to make paving stones or to make some handcrafted objects.
